Good & Healthy skin is outcome of consistent care. Investing “today” in your skin will give you flawless and healthy skin for longer period of time. Sun is a good source of Vitamin D and helps to improve sleep, reduce depression but the Fact that UV RAYS either from Sun or from Artificial Sources cause damage to skin which cause Premature Aging of the skin and signs of Sun Damage such as wrinkles, leathery skin, liver spots and actinic keratosis (scaly patch on skin).

Sun Screens works as a shield to fight against UV RAYS, there are two types of UV rays one is UVA and the other one is UVB.UVA has long wavelength as they penetrate more into skin than UVB rays and cause premature skin aging. Sun Screen helps to protect your skin from premature aging, sunburn, wrinkles and fine lines.

According to a study published in September 2018 in JAMA Dermatology, usage of Sun Screen helps to reduce chances of skin cancer by 35 percent among adults under age of 40. It is recommended by dermatologist to use Sun Screens with Zinc oxide and Titanium dioxide.

Essentials of Applying Sun Screens….!!!!

Don’t forget to apply Sun Screen” Daily” irrespective of if there is Sun or not because it doesn’t mean if you are not seeing Sun so Sun isn’t out. It is equally important to apply Sun Screens on Cloudy days.

Try to Apply “Sufficient Amount” of Sun Screen to protect your skin to fullest. It is suggested by Dermatologist to apply at least one spoon full of Sun Screen.

Sun Screens & Skin Types……Choose Wisely…..!!!!

Dry skin needs Sun Screens which has maximum moisturizer in it. If you have oily, acne-prone skin, a specific Sunscreen for oily skin is recommended as it is water-based rather than oil-based therefore, a sunscreen gel for oily skin is recommended. If your skin is sensitive and prone to irritation, avoid products with alcohol, preservatives and fragrances.
